As the weather worsens with the end of summer and you start to spend more time indoors, you start to notice the condition of wooden flooring and furniture around your home.

We can’t ignore the latest fashion trends seem to be circled around upcycling, shabby chic and basically making good out of the bad. We think it’s a great idea, and something that can be easily started at home with very little cost. Take a dining room table, for example, one made of cheap pine, bought second-hand for less than £50. Sand it down, clean it off and a couple of coats of dye and some oil later and it’s completely transformed, to either sell on for a profit or keep and enjoy, knowing you made it yourself to be shown off among peers!
